When I grow up, I want to be Nora Ephron.
One of my greatest (unintentionally) comedic moments was when I proudly proclaimed that I wanted to be a clown when I grew up in kindergarten. At the time I was attending a slightly over-monied private school in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We were the only inter-racial family that I knew of at the time, and we almost had our membership rejected from the local country...
Things I'm admiring/thinking/dreaming...
1. Investing in a new camera with video functionality. I am dreaming of creating 30 seconds clips that weave together to give a picture of my environment — natural, built, and otherwise. Any recommendations?
2. Opening a store akin to Ofr or do you read me?! in Geneva. If only so I can get all of the magazines and books that I desire. Also to create a hang out and community around people...

discovery of the day
S. & I needed to escape the apartment this afternoon. Despite overcast, grey and cloud drenched skies, we strolled through town from Plainpalais over to the Paquis for a coffee at one of our favorites cafes in Geneva, La Vouivre.
Not until today did I ask the question, “qu’est-ce que ca veut dire, “la vouivre”?”
Une vouivre is the french word for a wyvern.
