This image from Junior Bazaar from June 1950 by Lillian Wassman is unbelievably moving and beautiful.
I didn’t know Lillian Wassman by name, but had seen some of her fashion photography over the years and once I saw a selection of her work on the NYT’s this morning - felt her presence/influence in a lot of current fashion photography.

I love this image as well - which is remniscent of her advertising work for lingerie companies.
