critical question for you about obama

do you think that his ability to motivate the masses, speak articulately and accurately, and to encourage change will be wasted if he becomes president?

no

i'm scared that the things i love about him as a leader will be beat out of him and pushed down b/c he will have to compromise too much

i think there are many layers to that question

every pres will have to compromise

i believe we felt the same things about bill

he came in with a bunch of outsiders and pissed a lot of people off

bill continued to be inspiring but he failed to make the big changes because no coalition was built

not his fault entirely

but they pissed a bunch of people off

not just because they are pro choice and believe in things that the religious conservative don't believe in

but because they brought in so many arkansas folk and pissed off the right

i think that obama has made it clear that he understands this and will try to approach bipartisanship differently

i believe it is all a crap shoot, but you have to bet on who you trust the most and whom you think is the most likely to combine smarts adn practicality to work with congress
