Things I’ve been interested in recently…
1. Finally buying an international subscription to the New Yorker after occasionally coughing up 20+ CHF for it from the local news stands when the online version just wasn’t cutting it. How else is a girl supposed to get her Seymour Hersh fix?
2. Lily Stockman’s Blog since she and her husband have relocated for the year to India. My friend Ken made the astute observation that when reading it really makes you feel like your life is a see of beige in comparison (he didn’t say it just like that — but you get the idea)
3. Fondation Baur in Geneva — S and I went for the first time a few weeks ago and we were both suitably blown away by its collection of Chinese and Japanese ceramics, laquer ware, weaponry, etc. It is the life’s collection of Alfred Baur and his wife started around 1906 and continuing until his death in 1951.
I’ve joined their “Friends Of” group which marks my opening foray into supporting the arts in Geneva (finally).
4. The new Gabriel Orozco exhibition at Tate Modern.
5. Traveling.
