I bought I Will Make Miracles today @ Harvard Bookstore. It is a children’s book by Susie Morgenstern illustrated by JIang Hong Chen.  I am not one who typically purchases children’s books but I’ve always thought that they are probably some of the hardest and most well-written/clear books out there. When you’re dealing with a reader who has limited vocabularly and a limited attention span, and a BIG imagination - you have an equation for wonderfulness.  The illustrations in this book alone were enough to merit the purchase. The story is touching as well though - a young boy is being asked what he wants to do when he grows up and he lists off all these beautiful things he’d do …  my favorite, “I will stretch out our days and our nights to feel longer So everyone has enough time to grow stronger…” Nice, huh?  Next time you’re in a bookstore though - you should definitely look for a copy and read it, it’ll take you 2 minutes but it’s worth it.
