Art in the Life of the City: London @ Harvard/GSD
Really looking forward to attending this symposium @ the GSD next week organized by Loeb Fellow 2007/2008 Camilla Ween. It is going to deal with the question of the role of public art in civic life - (YES!)
In particular hoping to meet and chat with Sheena Wagstaff (Chief Curator @ Tate Modern, responsible for many of the fantastic Turbine Hall installations) as well as Julia Peyton-Jones (Director, Serpentine Gallery - who oversees the fantastic Summer Pavillion @ the Serpentine). These two women are involved in some of my favorite public art works in London.
It’s free and open to the public - so if you’re interested, I’ll see you there!
