Berlin Philharmonic Escapes Severe Damage via SPIEGEL ONLINE
I nearly had a heart attack the other day when I heard the Berlin Phil could have sustained severe (and irreversible?) damage to the concert hall. A fire broke out and early reports seemed to think that the hall’s famed acoustic could have been ruined.
Good news - slight water damage and that’s it.
