With some of my family living in Singapore I was interested to read about the Esplanade development. A few years ago when I was living in London, Singapore sponsored a huge residency of Southeast Asian artists in London. I had the chance to take a workshop with Thai artist Sakarin Krue-On.

It was truly spectacular. I think it sends a very positive image about the Singaporian government to support Arts in such a big way and to not only support them within the country but to also do cultural diplomacy work.
