I had to pause many times and do other work to stop myself from crying. They all talked about his ability to listen with care and compassion in all arenas (whether settling an argument among his children or hearing the difficulties of a family struggling with hunger in the Mississippi River Delta). Three of RFK’s children contributed op-eds to today’s NYT to mark the occasion of his death 40 years ago.

I had to pause many times and do other work to stop myself from crying. They all talked about his ability to listen with care and compassion in all arenas (whether settling an argument among his children or hearing the difficulties of a family struggling with hunger in the Mississippi River Delta).
