Been hearing hype about this new space in London for a while. Totally wishing I lived in a city where this type of creativity and collaboration were the norm in not only the academic world but also the social/lifestyle realm.
“The Double Club is the latest project from the Fondazione Prada. Conceived by German-Swedish artist Carsten Höller, the “influential environment,” as he calls it, consists of a bar, restaurant and dance club in an old Victorian warehouse in London. By mixing contemporary art from the Congo (i.e. the stage dress of guitarist Luambo Makiadi, a painting by Mosengwo Kejwamfi) with that of the West (Andy Warhol, Carla Accardi, Olle Baertling), he aims to create a dialogue between the two worlds.” (via hintmag)
London, cool it with all this good stuff. It is unfair.
